For the last two years plus size model Ashley Graham has been breaking barriers an giving a voice to curvy girls everywhere. Back in 2015 Ashley she became the first plus size model to appear in a ad campaign for Sports Illustrated. The following year she appeared again, but this time she was on the cover. When you want to release your next big thing why not go back to the brand that helped start your career? Ashley Graham did just that by linking back up with Sports Illustrated to debut her swimsuit line. Again, this isn’t your typical Sports Illustrated photoshoot because this time Ashley chose to use non models for this campaign. This is not just rare it has NEVER happened making this another barrier Ashley Graham is breaking. She titled her swimsuit line ‘ Swimsuit for all’ which is exactly what she showed. They took to the beaches an streets of San Juan Puerto Rico to find the perfect women to showcase exactly what Ashely was looking for. The swimsuit line will be released February 15, 2017. The swimsuits will range in sizes from 6-22. In a press release when talking about her line an brand Ashley Graham was quoted saying “I was so excited to shoot with local women for this shoot, non-models who represent all different body shapes, proving that everyone can look gorgeous in my swimsuits.” She also said “We’re continuing to shift perceptions of beauty and encouraging more inclusivity in the fashion industry.” It’s so great to see her continuing to give a voice to those women who don’t exactly feel good about the skin they’re or the curves they have. She doesn’t just motivate plus size women she motivates an inspires women everywhere! Another win for Ashley Graham.
